The club’s juniors travelled to the Copper Box arena at London’s Olympic Park for the National Indoor Junior Championships and returned with two medals and plenty of new personal best times.
The club produced some excellent results with Ella Haydon taking the gold in the year 8 girl’s event whilst there was a bronze medal finish for Fred Giemza-Pipe, who was competing in the yr12 boy’s race, with both rowers taking part at this event for the first time.
There were also top ten finishes for Louis Sheasby and Carter Horrix, who were fourth and seventh respectively in a very competitive year 10 boy’s race, and for Frances, Beth and Layla Katirewa in their respective events.
There were also some excellent performances with Arlo Adds and Esme Walters both securing PB’s racing indoors over 2k for the first time and there were further PB’s for Izzy Bounds, Immy Burfitt & Evie Crew with all three experiencing this national event for the first time.
